Rational numbers

Do you know the different types of numbers, many right? I want to discuss one among them that is Rational Numbers. I will explain the term with a definition and with an example below.

Definition of Rational Number:- Any number in Arithmetic such as whole number, fractions, decimal number with its negative image is called a rational number. The rational numbers can be expressed as terminating or recurring decimals.

It can be written in the form of fraction for eg:-x/y where y should not be equal to 0. When x and y are positive they are natural numbers and it can be named as ratio. The square root of a square numbers are called as rational number. The rational number can be expressed as decimal also for eg:- 1/4 can be written as .25.

To understand this more we have some examples below:

3/7, 5/8, 15/4, 20/5, and many more.
