Calculating percentage

Friends, now that i have explained you what is percentage and how it is written in my previous post, now it is time for me to write more details on it, so i will show you how to calculate percentage.

First lets see how percentage can be converted to decimals, percentage can be written as decimals when the decimal point is moved two places towards the left.

Example :- Convert percentage to decimals.
a) 5%
5/100= 0.05

b) 24%
24/100= .24

Similarily decimals can be converted to percentage by moving the decimal two places towards the right.
I will explain this also with some examples. Find it mentioned below.


Example: Convert Decimal to percentage
a) .32= 32/100 = 32%
b) 0.15= 15/100= 15%

To convert fraction or decimal to a percentage, multiple it with 100.

Now, lets convert a fraction into percentage

Example:- Convert fraction to percentage

Lets take 1/5 as an example and convert a fraction to percentage.

1/5= 1/5*100
= 100/5= 20%
