Introduction of Algebra

After my sucess of my previous post(introduction to mathematics) i would like to introduce the most interesting mathematical concept that is Algebra. After you read this post i am sure you will be able to define what is algebra and recognize algebraic equations and it will help you solve algebraic equations.

Introduction of Algebra:- Algebra is a branch of mathematics which deals with variables, equations and expressions. In other words it is a branch of mathematics that uses mathematical statements to describe relationship between things that vary overtime. We use letters to represent the quantity that varies, since it is not fixed amount. These letters and symbols are referred to as variables.

Algebraic Terms and Numerical coefficient:- The unit used to express algebraic equation is called Algebraic Terms. The term is either a number or a product of a number with one or more variables. The numerical part of the term or the numbe factor is called the Numerical coefficient. It includes the arithematic sign and a variable. The numerical coefficient is assumed as 1.

Find the example which gives you a better understanding on this.

Example:- (-3ax) here -3 is the numerical coefficient and ax is the variables.

Algebraic equation:- An equation contains any number of algebraic terms, use signs of operations-addition, subtraction, multiplication, division. It doesnot contain an equal sign(=)

For example lets take an algebraic equation
3a*2b can be written as 3a.2b or (3a)(2b)

So, by the end of this post i am sure now you are aware of algebra and algebraic equation and you will be able to solve algebraic problem. Look for more and more equations to understand algebra. Post your comments on this post awaiting for it.
